On the next session (October 5, 2026), the Xetra regular session runs 04:00–12:30 in Brasília time, with Europe on summer time (CEST, UTC+2). The local hours are 09:00–17:30 CEST.
Open or closed right now?
Times in Brasília time, based on the server clock. "Open" is the regular session; pre-market and auctions are shown as "Closed · …". Market holidays are not considered.
Sessions in Brasília time: October 5, 2026
| Phase | Local time | Brasília |
|---|---|---|
| Regular session | 09:00–17:30 CEST | 04:00–12:30 |
Daylight saving time × standard time
Because Brasília has no daylight saving time, the Xetra time on your clock changes when the other side changes its clocks. Here are both tables, calculated with real time zone rules:
| Phase | Local time | Brasília |
|---|---|---|
| Regular session | 09:00–17:30 CEST | 04:00–12:30 |
| Phase | Local time | Brasília |
|---|---|---|
| Regular session | 09:00–17:30 CET | 05:00–13:30 |
The next clock change in Europe is on Sunday, October 25, 2026: daylight saving time ends and standard time returns (the clocks go back one hour). From Monday, October 26, 2026, in Brasília time the open moves from 04:00 to 05:00 and the close moves from 12:30 to 13:30.
US and European clocks do not change on the same day: the next US change is on November 1, 2026 and the next European change on October 25, 2026. For 7 days London and New York are 4 hours apart instead of the usual 5.
Overlap in Brasília time
Window when both regular sessions are open at the same time, calculated for Wednesday, October 7, 2026:
- Xetra × NYSE: 10:30–12:30 (with Europe on winter time (CET, UTC+1): 11:30–13:30)
Who trades and when
Xetra is the electronic trading system of Deutsche Börse, in Frankfurt, through which most German equity trading flows, including DAX index stocks (SAP, Siemens, Allianz). Germany uses Central European Time: CET in winter (UTC+1) and CEST in summer (UTC+2).
On the standard schedule Xetra trades from 9:00 to 17:30 local time, Monday to Friday. There are opening and closing auctions around those times; see the auction schedule on the Deutsche Börse website. Börse Frankfurt, the floor venue, has its own and longer hours, which are not the ones shown here.
Because Frankfurt and London change their clocks on the same date, the overlap between the two European markets is stable; the overlap with New York shifts during the weeks when the US and Europe are on different clock regimes.
Hours source and holidays
The hours follow the general trading schedule published by the exchange (see the Deutsche Börse website (deutsche-boerse.com)). The exchange can change its schedule, so check the exchange website before trading. Market holidays and early-close days are not considered on this page: check the Xetra trading calendar.
