Because Brasília has no daylight saving time, the B3 time on your clock changes when the other side changes its clocks. Here are both tables, calculated with real time zone rules:
| Phase | Brasília |
|---|---|
| Pre-open | 09:45–10:00 |
| Regular session | 10:00–16:55 |

The next clock change in the United States is on Sunday, November 1, 2026: daylight saving time ends and standard time returns (the clocks go back one hour). From Monday, November 2, 2026, in Brasília time the close moves from 16:55 to 17:55.
Overlap in Brasília time

Who trades and when
B3 is the São Paulo stock exchange, where Brazilian stocks, ETFs, BDRs, real estate funds (FIIs) and futures such as the mini index and the mini dollar are traded. Equities trade on Brasília time, so the local clock never changes during the year. What changes twice a year is the closing time (and the after-market), because B3 adjusts its schedule when the US changes its clocks so that the session stays aligned with New York.
Before the open there is a pre-opening auction starting at 9:45, when orders are registered but no trades occur. After the regular session, while the US is on daylight saving time, there is an after-market (17:30–18:00 on the current schedule), with eligible assets and price limits defined by B3. Futures have their own schedule and start before 10:00. Always confirm the details on the B3 website.
Anyone trading Brazilian and US stocks on the same day should look at the B3 × NYSE overlap (below): that is when both markets are open at once and New York flows have the most influence on the Ibovespa and the dollar.
Hours source and holidays
The hours follow the general trading schedule published by the exchange (see the B3 website (b3.com.br)). The exchange can change its schedule, so check the exchange website before trading. Market holidays and early-close days are not considered on this page: check the B3 trading calendar.
