It is 06:34 on Saturday, October 3, 2026 in Thimphu, Bhutan. The city runs on UTC+6, which puts it 9 hours ahead of Brasília.
Time zone and UTC offset in Thimphu
Thimphu follows the Asia/Thimphu time zone (this zone has no widely used letter abbreviation). Right now its offset from Coordinated Universal Time is UTC+6.
Thimphu does not observe daylight saving time and no clock change is scheduled for the next year. Its offset stays at UTC+6 all year round. Brazil abolished daylight saving time in 2019, so the gap between the two stays fixed at 9 hours. That makes scheduling predictable: a meeting booked for any date of the year at a given Brasília time always lands at the same local time in Thimphu.
Time difference between Brasília and Thimphu
To convert, take Brasília time and add 9 hours; when the sum passes midnight, the date in Thimphu is already the next day. The table uses today's offsets.
Going the other way, local noon in Thimphu is 03:00 in Brasília, and local midnight is 15:00 (previous day) in Brasília. Because Thimphu is ahead, its calendar date is one day later than in Brasília from 15:00 until midnight Brasília time. Keep this in mind for deadlines, flights and anything scheduled around the start or end of a day.
