Time zone and UTC offset in Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico follows the America/Puerto_Rico time zone, abbreviated AST. Right now its offset from Coordinated Universal Time is UTC-4.
Puerto Rico does not observe daylight saving time and no clock change is scheduled for the next year. Its offset stays at UTC-4 all year round. Brazil abolished daylight saving time in 2019, so the gap between the two stays fixed at 1 hour. That makes scheduling predictable: a meeting booked for any date of the year at a given Brasília time always lands at the same local time in Puerto Rico.

To convert, take Brasília time and subtract 1 hour; early in the morning in Brasília it may still be the previous day in Puerto Rico. The table uses today's offsets.
Going the other way, local noon in Puerto Rico is 13:00 in Brasília, and local midnight is 01:00 in Brasília. Because Puerto Rico is behind, its calendar date is still the previous day in the first 1 hour after midnight in Brasília (until 01:00).
