It is 20:38 on Friday, October 2, 2026 in Caracas, Venezuela. The city runs on UTC-4, which puts it 1 hour behind Brasília.
Time zone and UTC offset in Caracas
Caracas follows the America/Caracas time zone (this zone has no widely used letter abbreviation). Right now its offset from Coordinated Universal Time is UTC-4.
Caracas does not observe daylight saving time and no clock change is scheduled for the next year. Its offset stays at UTC-4 all year round. Brazil abolished daylight saving time in 2019, so the gap between the two stays fixed at 1 hour. That makes scheduling predictable: a meeting booked for any date of the year at a given Brasília time always lands at the same local time in Caracas.
Time difference between Brasília and Caracas
To convert, take Brasília time and subtract 1 hour; early in the morning in Brasília it may still be the previous day in Caracas. The table uses today's offsets.
Going the other way, local noon in Caracas is 13:00 in Brasília, and local midnight is 01:00 in Brasília. Because Caracas is behind, its calendar date is still the previous day in the first 1 hour after midnight in Brasília (until 01:00). Keep this in mind for deadlines, flights and anything scheduled around the start or end of a day.
