Time zone and UTC offset in Mexico City
Mexico City follows the America/Mexico_City time zone, abbreviated CST. Right now its offset from Coordinated Universal Time is UTC-6.
Mexico City does not observe daylight saving time and no clock change is scheduled for the next year. Its offset stays at UTC-6 all year round. Brazil abolished daylight saving time in 2019, so the gap between the two stays fixed at 3 hours. That makes scheduling predictable: a meeting booked for any date of the year at a given Brasília time always lands at the same local time in Mexico City.
