It is 05:36 on Saturday, October 3, 2026 in Karachi, Pakistan. The city runs on UTC+5 (PKT), which puts it 8 hours ahead of Brasília.
Time zone and UTC offset in Karachi
Karachi follows the Asia/Karachi time zone, abbreviated PKT. Right now its offset from Coordinated Universal Time is UTC+5.
Karachi does not observe daylight saving time and no clock change is scheduled for the next year. Its offset stays at UTC+5 all year round. Brazil abolished daylight saving time in 2019, so the gap between the two stays fixed at 8 hours. That makes scheduling predictable: a meeting booked for any date of the year at a given Brasília time always lands at the same local time in Karachi.
Time difference between Brasília and Karachi
To convert, take Brasília time and add 8 hours; when the sum passes midnight, the date in Karachi is already the next day. The table uses today's offsets.
Going the other way, local noon in Karachi is 04:00 in Brasília, and local midnight is 16:00 (previous day) in Brasília. Because Karachi is ahead, its calendar date is one day later than in Brasília from 16:00 until midnight Brasília time. Keep this in mind for deadlines, flights and anything scheduled around the start or end of a day.
