It is 05:36 on Saturday, October 3, 2026 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. The city runs on UTC+5, which puts it 8 hours ahead of Brasília.
Time zone and UTC offset in Ashgabat
Ashgabat follows the Asia/Ashgabat time zone (this zone has no widely used letter abbreviation). Right now its offset from Coordinated Universal Time is UTC+5.
Ashgabat does not observe daylight saving time and no clock change is scheduled for the next year. Its offset stays at UTC+5 all year round. Brazil abolished daylight saving time in 2019, so the gap between the two stays fixed at 8 hours. That makes scheduling predictable: a meeting booked for any date of the year at a given Brasília time always lands at the same local time in Ashgabat.
Time difference between Brasília and Ashgabat
To convert, take Brasília time and add 8 hours; when the sum passes midnight, the date in Ashgabat is already the next day. The table uses today's offsets.
Going the other way, local noon in Ashgabat is 04:00 in Brasília, and local midnight is 16:00 (previous day) in Brasília. Because Ashgabat is ahead, its calendar date is one day later than in Brasília from 16:00 until midnight Brasília time. Keep this in mind for deadlines, flights and anything scheduled around the start or end of a day.
