Time zone and UTC offset in Ho Chi Minh City
Ho Chi Minh City follows the Asia/Ho_Chi_Minh time zone (this zone has no widely used letter abbreviation). Right now its offset from Coordinated Universal Time is UTC+7.
Ho Chi Minh City does not observe daylight saving time and no clock change is scheduled for the next year. Its offset stays at UTC+7 all year round. Brazil abolished daylight saving time in 2019, so the gap between the two stays fixed at 10 hours. That makes scheduling predictable: a meeting booked for any date of the year at a given Brasília time always lands at the same local time in Ho Chi Minh City.
Time difference between Brasília and Ho Chi Minh City
To convert, take Brasília time and add 10 hours; when the sum passes midnight, the date in Ho Chi Minh City is already the next day. The table uses today's offsets.
Going the other way, local noon in Ho Chi Minh City is 02:00 in Brasília, and local midnight is 14:00 (previous day) in Brasília. Because Ho Chi Minh City is ahead, its calendar date is one day later than in Brasília from 14:00 until midnight Brasília time. Keep this in mind for deadlines, flights and anything scheduled around the start or end of a day.
