Time zone and UTC offset in Chita
Chita follows the Asia/Chita time zone (this zone has no widely used letter abbreviation). Right now its offset from Coordinated Universal Time is UTC+9.
Chita does not observe daylight saving time and no clock change is scheduled for the next year. Its offset stays at UTC+9 all year round. Brazil abolished daylight saving time in 2019, so the gap between the two stays fixed at 12 hours. That makes scheduling predictable: a meeting booked for any date of the year at a given Brasília time always lands at the same local time in Chita.
Time difference between Brasília and Chita
To convert, take Brasília time and add 12 hours; when the sum passes midnight, the date in Chita is already the next day. The table uses today's offsets.
Going the other way, local noon in Chita is 00:00 in Brasília, and local midnight is 12:00 (previous day) in Brasília. Because Chita is ahead, its calendar date is one day later than in Brasília from 12:00 until midnight Brasília time. Keep this in mind for deadlines, flights and anything scheduled around the start or end of a day.
