Russia is 6 hours ahead of Brasília right now. When it is 12:00 in Brasília, it is 18:00 in Russia. And it stays the same all year.
How many hours apart today
To find the time in Russia, add 6 hours to the time in Brasília. Russia follows Europe/Moscow (UTC+3), while Brasília is on UTC-3, so people there are already living further into the day: when it is 12:00 in Brasília, it is 18:00 in Russia.
Russia spans more than one time zone; the figures here use the reference zone (Moscow), so other regions differ by one or more hours.
From 18:00 in Brasília it is already the next calendar day in Russia.
Daylight saving time: does the gap change?
No. Under current rules neither Russia nor Brazil changes its clocks, so the difference of 6 hours holds all year round: a meeting fixed at the same Brasília time lands at the same local time in every season, with no need to recheck in March or October. Brazil abolished daylight saving time in 2019, and it only matters for the gap when the other country changes its clocks. See the daylight saving time guide for the countries that do.

Best times to call or hold a meeting
Assuming 9:00-18:00 office hours on both sides, the shared window runs from 09:00 to 12:00 Brasília time (15:00 to 18:00 in Russia), about 3 hours of overlap. That is a short window, so book it early and keep meetings tight.
From Brazil, when it is 09:00 in Brasília, it is 15:00 in Russia (within office hours); at 12:00 it is 18:00 (within office hours); and at 18:00 it is 00:00 (next day) (night or very early, best avoided).
In the other direction, a call made in Russia at 9:00 reaches Brasília at 03:00 (night or very early, best avoided); at 12:00 it is 06:00 there (night or very early, best avoided); and at 18:00, 12:00 (within office hours).
The same arithmetic helps with flights, whose departure and arrival times on tickets are always in the local time of each airport, and with live broadcasts announced in another time zone. Always convert the announced time before you plan. The meeting planner compares both clocks hour by hour.
