Time zone and UTC offset in South Georgia
South Georgia follows the Atlantic/South_Georgia time zone (this zone has no widely used letter abbreviation). Right now its offset from Coordinated Universal Time is UTC-2.
South Georgia does not observe daylight saving time and no clock change is scheduled for the next year. Its offset stays at UTC-2 all year round. Brazil abolished daylight saving time in 2019, so the gap between the two stays fixed at 1 hour. That makes scheduling predictable: a meeting booked for any date of the year at a given Brasília time always lands at the same local time in South Georgia.
