It is 08:36 on Saturday, October 3, 2026 in Makassar, Indonesia. The city runs on UTC+8 (WITA), which puts it 11 hours ahead of Brasília.
Time zone and UTC offset in Makassar
Makassar follows the Asia/Makassar time zone, abbreviated WITA. Right now its offset from Coordinated Universal Time is UTC+8.
Makassar does not observe daylight saving time and no clock change is scheduled for the next year. Its offset stays at UTC+8 all year round. Brazil abolished daylight saving time in 2019, so the gap between the two stays fixed at 11 hours. That makes scheduling predictable: a meeting booked for any date of the year at a given Brasília time always lands at the same local time in Makassar.
Time difference between Brasília and Makassar
To convert, take Brasília time and add 11 hours; when the sum passes midnight, the date in Makassar is already the next day. The table uses today's offsets.
Going the other way, local noon in Makassar is 01:00 in Brasília, and local midnight is 13:00 (previous day) in Brasília. Because Makassar is ahead, its calendar date is one day later than in Brasília from 13:00 until midnight Brasília time. Keep this in mind for deadlines, flights and anything scheduled around the start or end of a day.

Best time to call Makassar from Brazil
With a difference of 11 hours, the 9:00 to 18:00 working days do not overlap at all. The least inconvenient slot is around 07:00 in Brasília, which is 18:00 in Makassar: one side will be early or late, so agree in writing who takes the awkward hour. Messages and recorded updates work better than live calls here.
