It is 01:34 on Saturday, October 3, 2026 in Douala, Cameroon. The city runs on UTC+1 (WAT), which puts it 4 hours ahead of Brasília.
Time zone and UTC offset in Douala
Douala follows the Africa/Douala time zone, abbreviated WAT. Right now its offset from Coordinated Universal Time is UTC+1.
Douala does not observe daylight saving time and no clock change is scheduled for the next year. Its offset stays at UTC+1 all year round. Brazil abolished daylight saving time in 2019, so the gap between the two stays fixed at 4 hours. That makes scheduling predictable: a meeting booked for any date of the year at a given Brasília time always lands at the same local time in Douala.
Time difference between Brasília and Douala
To convert, take Brasília time and add 4 hours; when the sum passes midnight, the date in Douala is already the next day. The table uses today's offsets.
Going the other way, local noon in Douala is 08:00 in Brasília, and local midnight is 20:00 (previous day) in Brasília. Because Douala is ahead, its calendar date is one day later than in Brasília from 20:00 until midnight Brasília time. Keep this in mind for deadlines, flights and anything scheduled around the start or end of a day.
