It is 00:35 on Saturday, October 3, 2026 in Dakar, Senegal. The city runs on UTC+0 (GMT), which puts it 3 hours ahead of Brasília.
Time zone and UTC offset in Dakar
Dakar follows the Africa/Dakar time zone, abbreviated GMT. Right now its offset from Coordinated Universal Time is UTC+0.
Dakar does not observe daylight saving time and no clock change is scheduled for the next year. Its offset stays at UTC+0 all year round. Brazil abolished daylight saving time in 2019, so the gap between the two stays fixed at 3 hours. That makes scheduling predictable: a meeting booked for any date of the year at a given Brasília time always lands at the same local time in Dakar.
Time difference between Brasília and Dakar
To convert, take Brasília time and add 3 hours; when the sum passes midnight, the date in Dakar is already the next day. The table uses today's offsets.
Going the other way, local noon in Dakar is 09:00 in Brasília, and local midnight is 21:00 (previous day) in Brasília. Because Dakar is ahead, its calendar date is one day later than in Brasília from 21:00 until midnight Brasília time. Keep this in mind for deadlines, flights and anything scheduled around the start or end of a day.
