It is 07:04 on Saturday, October 3, 2026 in Cocos, Cocos (Keeling) Islands. The city runs on UTC+6:30, which puts it 9 hours 30 minutes ahead of Brasília.
Time zone and UTC offset in Cocos
Cocos follows the Indian/Cocos time zone (this zone has no widely used letter abbreviation). Right now its offset from Coordinated Universal Time is UTC+6:30. Note the 30-minute fraction: unlike most of the world, this zone is not set on a whole hour, so the difference from Brasília is not a round number of hours either.
Cocos does not observe daylight saving time and no clock change is scheduled for the next year. Its offset stays at UTC+6:30 all year round. Brazil abolished daylight saving time in 2019, so the gap between the two stays fixed at 9 hours 30 minutes. That makes scheduling predictable: a meeting booked for any date of the year at a given Brasília time always lands at the same local time in Cocos.
Time difference between Brasília and Cocos
To convert, take Brasília time and add 9 hours 30 minutes; when the sum passes midnight, the date in Cocos is already the next day. The table uses today's offsets.
Going the other way, local noon in Cocos is 02:30 in Brasília, and local midnight is 14:30 (previous day) in Brasília. Because Cocos is ahead, its calendar date is one day later than in Brasília from 14:30 until midnight Brasília time. Keep this in mind for deadlines, flights and anything scheduled around the start or end of a day.
