It is 19:35 on Friday, October 2, 2026 in Cayman, Cayman Islands. The city runs on UTC-5 (EST), which puts it 2 hours behind Brasília.
Time zone and UTC offset in Cayman
Cayman follows the America/Cayman time zone, abbreviated EST. Right now its offset from Coordinated Universal Time is UTC-5.
Cayman does not observe daylight saving time and no clock change is scheduled for the next year. Its offset stays at UTC-5 all year round. Brazil abolished daylight saving time in 2019, so the gap between the two stays fixed at 2 hours. That makes scheduling predictable: a meeting booked for any date of the year at a given Brasília time always lands at the same local time in Cayman.
Time difference between Brasília and Cayman
To convert, take Brasília time and subtract 2 hours; early in the morning in Brasília it may still be the previous day in Cayman. The table uses today's offsets.
Going the other way, local noon in Cayman is 14:00 in Brasília, and local midnight is 02:00 in Brasília. Because Cayman is behind, its calendar date is still the previous day in the first 2 hours after midnight in Brasília (until 02:00). Keep this in mind for deadlines, flights and anything scheduled around the start or end of a day.
